New! Craft and Create – a regular Thursday afternoon crafternoon from 1st May at Armonia Creative Space. Book to reserve your place, but pay-as-you-feel on the day.
Sea Glass Art Workshop
Using naturally tumbled sea glass and pottery to create something beautiful and original.
You will be guided through the process by Karen from Shore Things by Karen and able to use watercolour paints and stamps to enhance your framed work of art.
No previous experience required.

Print-making with Textures (Collagraphs)
This friendly workshop will enable you to prepare and print your own designs using collagraph techniques with expert tuition from print-maker Jo Shearer. Designed for beginners, this workshop will also inspire more experienced attendees.
Adults and teens welcome.
£45 for the session.

Making a mug
Using a range of hand-building techniques you will make a ceramic mug and have opportunity to decorate them with texture and colour… or
Clay Animals & Sculptures
You will leave your creations at the studio for firing and glazing and they should be ready to collect in four weeks’ time.

Mosaic Workshop
You will be guided through the process to produce a delightful piece of mosaic art. There is a finishing process of grouting that needs to be done at least 24 hours later, which you can come back to the studio to complete, or take the grout home with you.
£25 all materials included; or £45 for two of you attending.
Jewellery Fun with Polymer Clay
In this fun and colourful workshop you will be supported in creating two pairs of earrings, a brooch or a key-ring in this wonderful, flexible oven-baking polymer clay.
Your creations will be baked during the session and you will then add your jewellery findings (hoops, hooks and clips) as a finishing touch.
Garden Ornaments
We will be using pinch techniques to make textured seedpods or other nature-inspired ornaments to decorate your home or garden – maybe you would prefer a mushroom, or a small bird (several previous students have made ducks!)
You have the option, once fired and glazed, to mount your creation on a cane stick and install in your garden to provide a beautiful pottery addition between your plants.
£25 per person, £45 for two attending together.
Pottery Essentials
Tuesday evenings 6.30-8.30 pm and
Wednesday mornings 10.30-12.30
Come and spend Tuesday evenings or Wednesday mornings in the company of adults working with clay learning simple techniques in hand-building to produce your own work with tuition from Frances.
Beginners and more experienced potters are welcome. Individual evenings or mornings are available at £20 per session.

Throwing on the Wheel

Groups of 2-6 welcome.
This is your chance to spend a couple of hours with Frances but not at our usual venue. We will meet at The Clay Room in centre of Leicester. You will learn the basics of how to throw a pot and have plenty of practice on a wheel.
Pottery decoration
It’s all about the decoration in this workshop. You will be exploring a range of surface decorating techniques on clay.
You will receive full guidance from Frances and will be able to collect the glazed, finished piece a few weeks’ later
£25 per person, including all materials and refreshments.

Deepwell Arts in Leicester collaborates with Armonia Music Tuition and Creative Space, a well established creative venue at Martyrs Church Hall in the heart of the West End of Leicester.
